Tiger Turf
September 7th, 2013 marked the opening game here at LSUs Tiger Stadium against The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Death Valley was roaring with thousands of fans who lined the streets as they anxiously awaited the LSU Tiger Bands march down Victory Hill. Not to mention, the must see Mike the Tiger exhibit and legendary tailgating that took place before the game. People traveled in from all over days in advance just to seek out parking spots and places to set up their tents. Saturdays in Baton Rouge certainly bleed purple and gold with the outstanding fans, food, and festivities on campus. After the long day that lead to the 6 o'clock kickoff, the Tigers dominated in a 56'-7 victory against Alabama-Birminham. Now tiger fans have a full week to recuperate and reenergize before this weekends big game against Kent State. Geaux Tigers!
